Hi all,

Does anyone know if it is legal to say "Made in the UK" in the following instance:

Supplements, made in China, shipped to the UK in a big box, put into individual bottles in the UK.

Thank you.

No - they’re not allowed to say made in U.K.

There are clear guidance notes on ‘the rules of origin’, if you’re unsure contact your local Chamber of Commerce as they issue certificates of origin.

Thanks @matilda1981. Is it definitely the CoC I should contact? Not Trading Standards?

Anyone else have a view?

Thank you.

The Chamber of Commerce are the body that issue the certificates so they’ll know of a product can make a ‘made in U.K.’ claim - you could contact Tradings Standards once you establish that they are marketing the product incorrectly.
