Few queries?

Hope someone can help with a few queries

The first one is random and I just want opinions lol. I love reading but I have a shockingly bad memory so once I've read a book is it crazy to keep it on a shelf, even though someone might see it and ask me what it's about and I will have forgotten? Or should I just enjoy and then send to charity shop?

Second one is more how does it work when someone dies. A friends parent died last year and the will states the house to be divided by the 3 siblings on his death. No executor was mentioned I don't think. So what happens. Does the solicitor take all 3 siblings bank into and then divide it up accordingly when house is sold? Friend is worries it'll all go into the account of the sibling she isn't speaking to and that she won't get her share

I think you'd be better off posting in Legal Matters about the wills stuff, it's quite complicated and as far as I know will differ whether you are in Scotland or the rest of the UK.

I'm in England and dunno how to get this moved

If there's a Will there will be an executor. Might be one sibling. Might be all of them. Might be none of them - the deceased could have chosen a friend or a firm of solicitors - but there will be one.

Your friend needs to find out who it is.

As the previous poster says, there will be an executor. The executor is required to distribute the estate in accordance with the will. Even if the sibling your friend isn't speaking to is executor, they cannot refuse to give your friend their share.

On the book front, if you have enough of them no one will expect you to have read them all!!
