I had a milestone birthday last yr and had a private dinner party to celebrate. I hired a photographer to photograph the event. They have given us the photos on USB, all fine. This is evening I googled my name, to my shock, a link comes up to my birthday event, it asks for your email address, no password and the entire event is available for anyone to view online.
I am beyond horrified.
I am an extremely private person, at no point was my consent for this ever asked, (I would not have given it). I do not post photos ever online of myself or dc or of me at an event, I do not do postings on FB. I have private reasons for this that many do not know about.
I have contacted the photographer to take them down immediately but they have got back to say they have now password protected it. They don't seem to be getting that they need to be taken down completely.
Can anyone please advise where i stand legally? thanks.
