There's a long back story which I won't share at this point but I wondered whether a Lawful Development Certificate could ever be revoked once granted?
In brief - neighbours were granted an LDC having covertly modified an outbuilding to make it residential. This change of use was clear when viewed from the side facing inwards (towards their property), but not from the road side. Having a second independent dwelling on their plot goes against the Local Plan - which they were aware of but chose to ignore. They are now going for planning for a full scale house based on changing one dwelling for another. There application states that if they don't get planning they will extend using permitted development rights which is why I would like to know if the LDC can be revoked.
If we object to the planning application, do we also have to object to the granting of the LDC ? Can we even do that? (Google wasn't helpful to me on that specific point!)
