Child name change - deed poll

This is allegedly very easy to do but I've spent hours reading all sorts of conflicting advice (much of which is aimed at parents going through acrimonious divorces).

  • We want to add a middle name (nothing to do with maiden names or surnames - just a pretty name that I've discovered is an old family name)
  • My husband and I are married (to each other!) and both on birth certificate. We both agree/ consent to the name change.
I don;t want to spend any more time doing this. Happy to pay whatever it takes to get someone else to manage the whole thing for me. Can anyone help/ advise?

I have PM'd you a basic CON deed for a child. It is drawn as if made by the mother alone and no one else has PR, so you'll have to amend it and do it so that you are both executing the deed but hopefully you can work it out.
