Can anyone help with a small claims matter?

Courier company took a piece of furniture back to retailer for me. In transit it has been dropped on one corner and both mirrors smashed.
It is worth £180. I paid £15 for delivery including additional insurance.
I didn't read the exclusion list which apparently includes glass and furniture therefore they are saying I can't claim for it.
Does anyone know what I can do small claims wise? I just feel like they're taking the p; and I want it money back!

What the insurance says is irrelevant. You can claim the cost of replacing the broken mirrors and argue that they have not exercised reasonable care and skill in moving the item.

Thanks, yes that's what I thought. Surely there's a rightful expectation that it's handled with a degree of care and attention; I declared what was in it on the label. Their attitude stinks so much it makes me feel like putting in a claim, they can't treat people's belongings like that surely.
