Occupation Orders

I’ve been talking with a lady from the National domestic abuse helpline today (I think that’s what it was called) and she suggested the possibility of an Occupation Order to get my husband out of the family home.
It all sounded very positive but from reading up on them afterwards I’m worried about the likelihood of it being passed because it was be unbearable to continue living with him after a court case.
I was just wondering if anyone had more experience of them? My husband can be very convincing and I’m scared he will pull apart whatever I say.

My friend got one after she left her alcoholic husband.
