Urgent legal aid q

Apparently my wage plus savings take me slightly over the legal aid threshold. I've been told to spend some of my savings and I will qualify. However in that conversation my tax credits were not taken in to consideration and with my tax credits I definitely have too much money for legal aid.
My question is do I qualify for legal aid if tax credits plus wage take me over the threshold or is tax credits not included?

Also the information from Googling this is not correct.

Legal aid for what? I’ve read that in Scotland it depends what it’s for. That was just a quick google though.

It's a parental rights thing. The subject qualifies. I spoke to a solicitor today but the meeting had to end due to my money situation. She said spend some of my savings and make another appointment with her. Did not discuss tax credits.

Ah. I can’t add any more to what you know then. Hopefully someone else can.

Does anyone know about this? Thanks
