I'm hoping somebody here may be able to advise me. I run a small business and have an unpaid bill that I've been chasing. The debtor has not paid and has now moved to another EU country. I am willing to chase the bill as I feel quite strongly about not letting them take the mickey like this but I'm not sure how to go about it as normally I would have gone through the small claims procedure but now they are not in the UK. I'm not sure whether I should find their new address and claim through the equivalent European procedure instead. Or should I still go through the UK courts as that is where they lived when the bill was issued? Tracking them down at their new address should be fairly straightforward and I understand that I can start a claim in the EU as long as it is before the end of 2020.
