Where can I get a copy of a lease?

I own the freehold to a coach house which has three garages underneath. I use one, the two others are leased to neighbours on a 999 year lease. This was set up already when I bought the property. This has gone smoothly for the last 10 years, but we now have new neighbours who have put electricity into one of the garages. I'm sure this is against the terms of the lease but don't seem to have a copy of it.

Where would I go to get one? We don't have a mortgage, and the solicitors and house builders are saying it isn't them. Thank you.

Leases of that length should be registered with HM Land Registry and, save for a few minor exceptions, you can download copies from the website - www.gov.uk/search-property-information-land-registry

That applies to properties in England and Wales though. Just realised you didn’t say in your op where you’re based so apologies if my post is irrelevant.

Thanks for that, I've emailed them just now.
