Wills and probate net vs gross

In the grant of probate doc from the High Court it gives a gross value of the estate and a net value. There’s only £5k difference between these two figures on an estate valued at more than £2m. Does this mean that all the tax has been paid?

No. The net value of the estate is the gross value less funeral costs and any known liabilities (credit cards, loans, etc.). It tells you nothing about the inheritance tax situation.

Ah right thank you prh. Potentially a very large chunk going out of that then unless pre-emptive action was taken. I suppose the Trustees have that info.
