Background is that paternal grandparents are trying to get access to kids. Their son died. They have lied about me to protect their son. They’ve followed me, made false accusations to the police, court and social services. I had a restraining order against their son and a non molestation order against the grandmother. And yet my barrister is saying to me I should negotiate access with them. I don’t want them near us. She is saying because their father died they will definitely get some sort of access. Is it likely? I’m erring towards waiting to see what the judge says but I don’t want to make it worse for us. Any thoughts?

Unfortunately from research I’ve done, I think your barrister is right, they’ll probably get a few hours a month at a weekend. The judge will want to keep a link with their fathers side of the family.
