I work in a city law firm and qualified September 2019. It took me a little while to find a TC so I am now 29. My DH and I are thinking about starting TTC and I am off the pill. Has anyone else gone on mat leave and come back at only 1.5 to 2 years PQE?

(In an ideal world I would have waited but I am little concerned about fertility)

I think the real q is do you want to go back to that after having a baby? Statistically most women want to be in house or a PSL or whatever. If that’s where you’re at I would move role first rather than trying to find a job when you have a new baby and a demanding job.

If you’re happy to go back to the same job then no problem, in my day (left eight years ago) they were keen to retain women returners as long as they still actually wanted to do the job.

Good luck Flowers
