False Allegations and Police

My stbxh made false allegations to the police last week claiming that I attacked him because he had a scratch on his nose.

It was our son retaliating to being pushed by dad because he was untidy according to stbxh.

We still live together as he is not willing to leave or discuss interim maintenance, for me to leave with LOs, until finances resolved through court. Initially he said I should leave, now he says I should leave and take our son to live with me but he wants to "keep the girls". I can't agree with this and he said himself he has mental health issues.

I have contacted his solicitor and he has also asked his solicitor to contact me about the living situation so I am hoping to speak soon.

I have a few solutions, firstly counseling so he can put the children first. About housing, any suggestions would be welcome, especially given the current C19 situation. My first thought is an agreement about when each of us can live in the property or an agreement about which parts if the property we can occupy and at which times to be out of each other's way to avoid any issues that would upset the children.

Also, I am thinking about asking that he either retract the police allegations as our son admitted what he did which was upsetting that his dad put him in that situation. Otherwise, asking his solicitor that stbxh writes a witness statement that he made false allegations to the police. Not sure if either would be possible.
