LOs Scooters Taken

The children's 3 Micro scooters were missing from the back garden today, we have small covered area by the back door in shared garden.

I asked the cleaner and he said he was asked to put them in the rubbish yesterday and the waste collection also came yesterday so they have gone.

The flat contract is in my (controlling) stbxh name. I am not sure if he told them to take them or the landlord.

Is this something I should report on the 101 police website?

Who told the cleaner to take them? Were they by a fire exit or in a communal area where you can’t store things?

Thank you for your reply.

The cleaner said the caretaker told him to dispose of them. There is a fire exit near but the scooters were at least 5 meters away from our fire exit and not in the through way to where we would go if the fire exit was used.

The area they were stored is a covered area by the back door. It is within a communal garden but each flat (there are 2 other families living here) has their own area and it's been the same since we moved here over 10 years ago.

The fire exit is another story, it is in my stbxh room and he keeps his room locked.

Presumably your stbx is the father of the children?

What can the police do? The issue is your cleaner ... didn’t she have common sense to wonder why good scooters would be binned? Are you prohibited from leaving things outside?

catkins22 · 03/05/2020 11:31

Stbxh is their father but has been acting irrationally since cao proceedings started.

We aren't prohibited from leaving things outside, their various scooters and bikes have been left in the same area for years.

The cleaner said he was asked to throw them away by the caretaker. I thought the same re.common sense, but he just said he was told to do it. I didn't think they can just take things without saying anything.

Find out who told the caretaker to do it. If he did it off his own back without asking you to move them then I’d be sending a complaint. Those scooters are not cheap!!!!
