Family court - phone hearing

Anyone got experience of, or know anything about hearings over the phone?

I have a final hearing coming up next month and obviously it is now occurring over the phone.

I was going to take a solicitor with me if the hearing took place in court, because ex is an abusive narcissist. But now am wondering if it's worth it to have someone 'with' me over the phone.

I guess I'm asking how easy it is to get your points across and heard in an over the phone hearing.

I'm sorry I don't have any useful advice, but I also have a telephone hearing coming up- so hopefully this bumps the post for you!

I would have your solicitor representing you if possible. I've had 2 telephone hearings recently, one of which my solicitor 'attended' on my behalf and the other where my solicitor again represented me but I was listening in. I found it very difficult to hear the judge clearly and relied upon my solicitor briefing me afterwards to know exactly what was going on.
