This a long complicated mess but I have been trying to divorce my abusive ex for 3 years. I have built up nearly £30,000 worth of debt on cards in legal fees. He refuses to settle, recognise I wont get a mortgage and send irrelevant emails to exacerbate my debt further. he lives elsewhere with his girlfriend but maintains to the CMS he lives at home. He has locked the garage from me and main bedroom with my belongings, therefore more debt replace my stuff. I sleep on a mattress on the floor. I have contacted police and have a crime reference number, bu they say its a civil case and have to wait till court. I had my second FDR hearing and nothing. He is a higher earner earning over £100,000 a year with savings and shares and money hes hidden with his parents.This is a brief summary .
I am now at a loss and at the end of my tether. I cannot get any more credit. Last FDR in August. My solicitor told me to represent myself and issue a Maintenance Pending Suit claim to get him to pay my costs. I did this and now she tells me to proceed I have to officially ask them to step down from representing me. I will then go to court for the MPS and then reinstate my solicitor to represent me in August.
I don't know what to do. I am worried again nothing will happen in court, he wont be ordered to pay costs and I will look like a fool. Do I proceed or wait till August and somehow ask friends to help me. It's going to be at least another £10,000 and I don't have it.
Its been 3 years and I don't know how much more I can take. He is doing what he likes and there is nothing I can do
