Hi, my mum sadly passed away a couple of weeks ago, I was living with her the previous 12 months, The council has sent me succession papers to fill in (she had a secure tenancy), but as it is a three-bedroom house, I think they would want to downsize me to a one-bedroom. I believe they cannot do this for 6 months after her death. My question is, am I entitled to do a home swap with a family that would use all the bedrooms in the property before the 6 months pass or before be given notice of possession? I wouldn't mind swapping for a one-bedroom. I would prefer this option as it would allow me to change borough. Thanks for your help
