Rogue Trader still working while insolvent

My sister had her new house replastered. At first all looked OK but now just a month later plaster is falling off all the walls. She had another plasterer (trusted family friend who didn't do it as was too long a wait) who has said it all needs completely redoing. My sister threatened court action to original plasterer but it turns out he is actually insolvent so would be a waste of time

Anyone any idea where she stands on this? Surely it is illegal to continue working whilst being insolvent?

It is illegal to trade whilst insolvent if a limited company but what is involvement Is a different question.

If limited company you can take to court and get a CCJ but if in administration prob a waste of time. If sole trader it may be worth the money as at least hmm having a CCJ will, knacker his credit worthiness
