Sending documents through the post

I need to send house deeds and other financial documents to the executor of my cousin's will. In normal times I would have driven the couple of hours to his house but don't feel/not sure that this journey is essential in the current climate. So is the best way via Royal Mail registered? Very heavy unfortunately!
