We are due to go on holiday to Centreparcs in The Netherlands. New rules have come into place to reduce the spread of the virus over there, the one most relevant to this post is no gatherings of more than 100 people. This has meant that Centreparcs have bought in their own restrictions. Most of the restaurants are closed and most importantly to us we can only use the pool (arguably the main attraction) for only a single 1.5 hour slot for the entire week. This is something we would have used for longer than date DAILY let alone over the entire 7 days. We cannot cancel for a refund and if we want to rebook to another week it will cost around €300 as we are required to make up the difference in price. Also we would need to pay to rebook travel there (ferry), rearrange holiday with work and maybe take the kids out of school and they have limited availability in the school holidays now so may only have term time left by the time we decide to rebook. We paid for this on our credit card, do we have any recourse to claim a refund through it as the holiday is not as advertised anymore? We do have travel insurance but I don't think we can claim back through this. Just trying to explore every option. Many thanks for any advice.
