Id be grateful for some advice please as my sister is at her wits end. 1 and half years ago some boys made a complaint against my nephew (13) regarding some alleged inappropriate behaviour at a party in 2018. Social services and the police were involved which led the police to forward the file to the CPS. This was in October 2019. Despite numerous calls to the police she has not heard anything about whether any charges will be brought. Naturally their lives have been out on hold during this time. I have seen that they normally have 30 days to make a decision but this is now going on for over 4 months (in addition to the year it took for the police to refer it to the CPS). Is there anything she can do to try and get this resolved either way ? thank you
