Received a letter from school governors with the outcome of our complaint.

At the end it says if we post on social media or disclose to another third party they may take legal action.

I’ve not signed a confidentiality agreement so surely I can tell or show who the heck i like?

They’re just trying to bully me into silence aren’t they?
What can they do if I do expose it?

Are we supposed to know what “it” is?

Soontobe60 · 08/02/2020 00:14

I agree. What is 'it'?

Coughisoff · 08/02/2020 06:16

‘It’ doesn’t matter. And makes no difference to what advice I’m asking for....

OP can't post about the topic as she's been barred from doing so. She wants to know if they can bar her. If they can't, she will no doubt then say but obviously can't until she knows the legal consequences of doing so. Sorry, OP, can't help you. Try in Legal?

separatedandseething · 08/02/2020 07:15

Oops sorry, it is in Legal. Seems not enough traffic here. What about in Chat?

Oh it absolutely does matter.

Let’s assume it’s something that if untrue is libellous.

Or something that has safeguarding implications.

Or something that identifies or relates to another child.

If you can’t put it in to context why should anyone offer their free time to try and help you?

I agree with Collaborate. Without knowing, at least in outline, what "it" is, any advice would be worthless. Whether they can take legal action depends entirely on what you intend to disclose.
