Does anybody know what form I would need to consolidate two divorce petitions or what the process is?
My partner made one under his old name, then his name changed part way through. We notified the court and instead of changing the case in progress another one was opened. The judge will now not consider the application to dispense with service (wife is not traceable and we have been trying to complete this divorce for 5 years now) because the judge wrote that we need to apply to combine the cases and provide a certified copy of deed poll but they are not willing to explain how to combine other than "seek legal advice" which we can't afford to do.
