Hi there
I have a curfew from 10pm to 4am since Oct 21st, I have had one check by police in uniform since oct 21 until last night
is it legal for a plain clothed detective to do a curfew check at my house at 9.30pm, half hour before my curfew actually starts?

I would doubt it is illegal, but I would say it is pointless. If they do the check at that time and you are not home, ultimately they will have to wait until 10pm before they can say you are in breach. So potentially wasting 30 mins of their own time.

Not illegal but a bit pointless

Is that what they were there for? Seems a bit odd they would come to check you were there when you didn't have to be. Did they ask any questions about anything?
