My sister and I have a poa in place for the financial dealings for our mum. This was put in place when her partner ran up debt in her name and we had to make her bankrupt.. We have received a letter today advising that the poa has been revoked as requested by dm. My Dm has dementia and she would not be able to run a bank account, or complete the form revoking poa without help. We are convinced her
Partner has put her up to this in order to re gain access to her account.what can we do to protect DM

Has she got an official diagnosis?

Seek legal advise

Phone the office of the public guardian where the POA is registered and tell them she has dementia so should not be able to revoke. They should be able to guide her..also if you have her bank details let them know too as if abnormal spending starts on the account they can be more aware.

Agree with @Musicaltheatremum. She can't revoke if she doesn't have legal capacity. That is what a POA is for
