Fact finding hearing

Has anyone been through one before? Long story short; ex wants access to our son, courts have denied so far due to domestic abuse. It's going to a fact finding hearing and I am absolutely terrified about speaking about the abuse he put me through with him listening. I'm so scared. Can anyone give me more details on what will happen and how to stay calm?

Hi there, I too am about to have a fact finding due to DV. How are you holding up? I'm a bag of nerves. My DV allegations are a mix of Gp reported or not but I'm hopeful the judge will see through my ex. He has lied so much in his statements and contradicted himself I'm hopeful they will see it. Are you both self repping? Have you contacted women's aid? They are brilliant.
