Awaiting a charge decision

In 2018 I was raped by a stranger. I didn't report what happened until May 2019. With little to no evidence the police were able to locate this man in December. He was questioned and everything he said matched to what I had told them. The only thing that doesn't match up, is he said he never touched me. Two days before Xmas the police phoned to say the she had passed my case to the sergent to review. I'm driving myself nuts as I havent a clue about the ins and outs of these things. I'd never even stepped foot in a police station until this. Anyone any advice, experience? Or forums you can point me to? Thank you x

No I didn't get many and someone suggested putting it in legal section. I'm new to net mums so not entirely sure what I'm doing, but have exhausted Google searches. Thank you for your reply though x

And thank you for your advice, I have actually recieved counseling which was meant to be carrying on indefinitely, however they have decided not to fund anymore sessions until the investigation is over. I am on my 2nd isva as I lost trust in the first as she never got back to my five messages, and after meeting the 2nd she wasn't particularly great and basically told us to chase the police our self, which is fine but my impression was that the service would be a single point of contact between myself and the police.

the police don't ring back.

Did she say she was passing it to the sargent to review it before sending it on to cps?

It could still be a long while before any sort of decision is reached.

She said it was being submitted to sergent at this stage and she will be in touch with new on next stage.
