Van fixed without asking

Hello all. We have a company van, 6 months old and it broke. It went into Ford under warranty, they then rang us up and said it was driver error, fixed it without any instruction from anyone in our company and presented us with a bill for £900. Any ideas on where we stand? Thank you

What teens did you give it to them under?

Terms

Thanks for replying. We just asked them to look and see what was wrong. They said they fixed it because it was taking up space in the garage

Did they sat how driver error could break a van, that's an unusual thing to day. What exactly was wrong with it?

blueskiesbrighteyes · 03/12/2019 09:24

The clutch went. The van had only done 4000 miles

I would contest that driver error personally.

Most clutches are through driver error I'm afraid and it would be very rare to get 1 fixed under warranty unless its a known fault. How long was it in the garage? Did they try and contact you? If they hadnt fixed it what would you have done?
