I own my house with my DH he has 3 children with 2 other women (unfortunately) who he pays a good amount of maintenance to. They are both quite greedy and always demanding more despite him paying over what CMS say all school trips, sports activities, music lessons and all school uniform (he doesn’t earn a lot) If for any reason something happened to him could his Ex’s claim/force sale of house because they depend on his maintenance money for his DCs. We haven’t got a will yet and in the process of getting one together I have 2DC from previous marriage.

no idea, but could he not set up a life insurence policy to be split between them to cover the cost of bringing up his children?

They could make Inheritance Act claims on behalf of his children. Provided he makes reasonable provision for his children in his will a claim is unlikely to succeed.
