So I have a mortgage with my ex of over a year. We have dc together who lives with me in a rental property and my ex lives in our old mortgage property that is up for sale. My ex is threatening me that I have to pay half of the mortgage even though I couldn't afford this. I know legally from the banks point of view I am liable but he has always paid this from his bank. I appreciate why he would want this but he refused me access back into the house or to live there and pay it myself... Do I have to pay this. I was advised that he can get me to pay half but would have to use solicitors solicitors solicitors at a cost to do this.

If you don't pay, and your name is on the deeds, you will impact your credit
You should speak to a solicitor asap
