To cut a long story short my downstairs neighbor is smoking marijuana. They also party most of the week and weekend playing loud music far into the early hours, shouting, singing.
I own my property. The downstairs is a private rent.
They have lived there for about 6 months now. We have approached them in a friendly manner to ask to keep the noise down but it gets us nowhere. We have contacted the landlord which gets us nowhere. I've had to reluctantly tell the police but so far the marijuana smell is STILL coming into our flat so I doubt police have done anything.
I'm honestly sick of the stench it's absolutely vile. I don't give two hoots about anyone smoking it, I just don't want it stinking up my place!
I tried to talk to them again yesterday and got nothing but abuse.
Can anyone please give me any suggestions or advice? I'm at my wit's end and apart from selling up and moving I don't know what else I can do. It is a nice area in general with no other problems.
