We have recently acquired a new property on the south west after having to sell ours to a government dept as it was on the route for land required for the M4 Smart motorway. We have to move our animals who have lived happily for the past 15 years in their enclosures in our garden in bucks. In normal circumstances we would not have moved but here we had no real choice.

The planning dept in the new area we are moving to say that the 6 enclosures we wish to erect will not be deemed as acceptable under permitted development, even though they meet all the required regulations - the keeping of these animals is not what they consider to be ancillary to the enjoyment of the dwelling, despite being moved off their permanent home and being there for 15 years under the same scheme PD>

Can any one advise if they have had any issues like this for their pets and how they were resolved?

Hi @dawng000001, we're going to move this thread over to our Legal Matters topic - hopefully there'll be some wise Mumsnetters on hand to give you some advice.
