Hi All,

I wonder if anyone can offer any advice I have sole custody of my son under a residence order his father has indirect contact in that he receives a report from me every year on my sons progress and can send birthday and Christmas gifts and cards through the social services letter box system. However my son and I have different surnames and I am aware that this may cause problems with customs holidaying abroad without written permission from his father. How do other people manage is this something I am just over thinking?

Thanks in advance Liz

Just take copy of his birth certificate when you travel

Take a copy of his birth cert, and the residance order stating you have sole custody.

As above. You may have a few questions but I always travel with my DS documents and have never had any issues other than being asked what my relationship is to my child

Thanks Ladies
