Party wall question

Hi there hope someone can advise. We are hoping to open up our front garden to create two off road parking spaces. This will mean removing part of our existing front garden wall to widen the opening. Question relates to the garden wall running across the front of our house and our neighbours house. Its effectively one low wall. Would this require a party wall communication letter? I don't it would be classed as a boundary wall as it is at front of our houses not between but advice appreciated. We will obviously be letting them know our plans but wanted to check if we need something more formal for this work

It's not a party wall as it does not straddle the boundary between your two properties. Just get it done.

You will need authority from your LA is you want to open up the driveway by extending the dropped kerb.
