Hi
Can someone advise me if there is a way I can buy alone and stop husband having any right to it if not legally separated or divorced? Thanks in advance

Not really as he could still be awarded a share in the property in the divorce even if he has no legal or beneficial interest. Sounds like you need to get divorced first

More information needed really.

After acquired property like that is seldom likely to be shared on divorce. If however you're putting down as a deposit the whole of the marital capital (assuming it's a significant amount) that might be different.

You need a solicitor, not mumsnet. Don't do anything until you speak to one.

Thanks guys. No getting deposit from elsewhere but don’t want him to be able to get anything. Wondered if could get some document stating is separate. Wish I could magically just be divorced. He’s supposed to be sorting but nothing seems to be happening
