Ex ignoring letters from solictor

Long story made short. Ex of 20 years living together and split for 3. I'm still paying half the mortgage but not on house deeds [I know]
Ex has been ignoring letters to respond from solicitor, solicitor still hasn't summoned him to court. How long should it take from when my solicitor actions this? From him sending the summons to him receiving it?

Can anyone advise? Solicitor doesn't seem worried about it [3 years ffs]
Maybe change solicitors and get a super hot lawyer?

Sugarplumfairy65 · 07/05/2019 23:01

Why are you paying half the mortgage on a house you don't own? Were you married?

Outnumb3red · 07/05/2019 23:03

What is it you're trying to do?

Pixiefee · 08/05/2019 17:38

After paying half the mortgage for 20 years I want something monetary wise from my house. House now worth 380k I want 60k. My solicitor just says the same thing. Wait for a reply from his solicitor. He is not opening the letters. He is ignoring all the letters. What the hell can I do??

Your solicitor needs to make an application for an order for sale under the land and trustees act. Have a pragmatic discussion with your solicitor or if youre not comfortable doing that write her a letter asking why the matter has not progressed. If youre not happy with the answer find a solicitor who will. Why zre you asking for only 60k?
