I'm currently going through a divorce. I think I've been financially abused but I don't want to be a drama queen if people think this is a normal situation.
Basically I work away all week and my stbx wife took out loans, credit cards and stopped paying bills like phone contracts then hid all mail and unplugged the phone at home so I had no idea what state we were in.
It has taken me a long time to get sorted but I'm now paying it all off jointly with her but she has left me with 3 ccjs on my credit file which are less than 2 years old.
Is it to late to go to the police.
She wants to buy me out of the house and is also in the process of cancelling my phone contract which we had tied into together along with my daughter's phone.
I'm currently in a rented 1 bedroom flat and I hope to receive £25000 equity if I'm lucky but it could be less.
I've been in debt for 10 years now. We have about £6000 left to pay.
