Sorry I won't know all of the correct legal terms but I'm hoping someone could give me a hand.

I have a friend who split from XP last year, they have one DC together. He pays maintenance and has him overnight one night on a weekend. XP likes to change her mind all the time, sometimes she doesn't let him see DC at all, other times she will mess him about with regards to where he can pick DC up from, what time etc.

He needs to take her to court to have a formal arrangement put in order to at least guarantee him his weekends with DC.

Does anyone know how much the costs are to get this sort of arrangement put into place and how he would go about it? He's panicking every weekend incase he can't see his DC. Thank you.

Court fee £215. Legal fees much much more.

As Collaborate says the fee is £215 although depending on his income it could be less or even free.
If he wants to be represented that’s where the costs come in but he can represent himself if he needs to.

He will also have to do a MIAM before he can make the C100 application. Mediation costs will vary - legal aid is available for those who qualilfy.
