Contact - legal fees

If my ex-husband wants to take me to court, most likely regarding finances or contact with children would he have to pay my court fees? I'm a student on a very low part time wage. He's a business owner, pretty well off financially.

I'm asking because I'm feeling intimated to agree to everything he suggests 'otherwise he'll fight it'

Thanks so much in advance

You should assume not. The court can order he pays towards your fees if you apply for a legal services order, or a lump sum order in Children Act proceedings, but that costs money to do as well so you’d have to find lawyers willing to do that for no money up front, and given it might cost £3,000-5,000 to get such an order it’s a big ask.
