Hi so, my sons dad is not on birth certificate, and has nothing to do with him, I dont see or talk with my mum and sons dads mum passed away. How else am I to obtain a passport for him ? Help !

I’m not sure what the problem is? If the father is not on the birth certificate, you can just apply for a passport yourself.

I just sent off for my dds passport and included her birth certificate along with my passport details - didn't need fathers permission or anything as he's not on the birth certificate

I think you need to outline the problem OP, is it that the form asks for the grandparent's details because of your age?

If it's the grandparents details thing, you don't t need it if you (mum) have a passport and include the passport number.
I rang the passport office and checked. Ring them and explain if it will help, they are really helpful.
