My employer told me today that my wages this month won't include my new wage increase due to the national living wage going up due to a fault. They will rectify next month and back date it.
Where do I stand legally? If they do it next month my tax will shoot up so I'll be out of pocket. Is there anyway I can get them to do it this month?

Your tax will only go up by the amount it would have gone up this month if you'd been paid the higher rate this month.
