Can any solicitors please answer me a really quick deed poll/Parental responsibility question please?

DD is 16 and has done her own deed poll. We need one signed at a solicitors for reasons connected to her future work.

Because she is under 18 but over the age of 16 which says she can do her own would she still need a letter from her (estranged) father before a solicitor would witness it please?

Also the one she has got only has one witness. If anyone knows if this would be okay for the passport office I would be grateful.

Thanks!

Do you mean power of attorney?

Sorry if I am misunderstanding. Does she want to change her name? If so hopefully someone who understands this process will be along soon.

As she is 16 she does not need her father's consent, so no need for a letter from her father.

Yes name change, sorry I wasn't clear!

Thanks prh47bridge
