Family court bundles?

My dh has just recieved an index of a bundle that his ex wife (applicant) has submitted for a court case next Thursday regarding custody of their son. Does he have the opportunity to supply a bundle also as the respondent?

The bundle should have been agreed between both sides. If his ex is a litigant in person there is no need for a bundle unless the court has directed otherwise. Your husband could put in a supplemental bundle containing any documents he thinks should have been in the bundle.

We had not heard anything of a bundle until today when his ex posted him an index of the bundle. Sorry if not making any sense.

This may help (although I have recently got grief from a poster who thought that posting a link to the relevant practice direction to be "unhelpful").

Thank I will have a read... hadn't even heard the term "bundles" until today so need to read up.

How far along in the proceedings is he?

The idea is that he writes back to them immediately saying 'please also add documents x, y and z', which they should then do. It is better not to have separate bundles, because that can be confusing.

Also, as they have only sent him the index, he needs to assemble his own copy of the bundle and paginate it exactly like the index.

This is for the directions hearing so the very first one. It is on Thrusday.

Practice directions aren’t all that accessible for lay people. I found this website helpful - thecustodyminefield.com/
