CAO advice

Hi, just wondering if anyone can reassure me...

Due in court this week for a CAO application. Father has stated he doesn't want access in the near future and will not be contesting it, prior SS involvement due to his violence and drug use, along with repeated malicious allegations by him against me (proved false), they have stated they fully support the CAO and in fact recommended it, Cafcass have stated the same.

Is it likely that this will be a pretty much open and shut case? Cafcass seemed to think so.

Also, is there any merit in asking the court if there is a possibility of applying to get dc's surname changed to mine? He essentially bullied me into giving them his, but has not been involved for 8 months, and as I said, has stated to Cafcass that he is not interested.

Thank you.

Sorry, should have added, the Cafcass letter also stated that the court 'may wish to consider a prohibited steps order' as well.
