Just wondering if anyone with experience could help. Last year we had issues with drains backing up, so we had a company out twice (first time they unblocked and second time, concerned about how quickly the issue had re-arisen, they put a camera down to investigate).
They found that the issue was not on our property but was on the main sewage line. We contacted the owners of this line, Company A, to report the issue and to request reimbursement of our costs. They investigated, repaired, and then informed us that yes, there was an issue to their pipes but this had been caused by Company B.
We contacted company B to claim and have been given the runaround, lots of ‘not my department, I’ll have someone call you back’ but no call. I’m reluctant to spend time chasing company B as I suspect that Company A are liabale for our costs, which they would claim in turn from Company B.
Can anyone advise?
