Excellent Family Lawyers needed please

Hi!
I am searching for great/excellent family lawyers in West London area. Ideally proven success in relocation matters.
There is an existing court order in place and I would like to be able to lean on the lawyers when needed (when receiving aggressive emails from DD's father).
Ideally not too expensive (previous lawyers charged me £1500 for heavy hearing Inc prep, and dealings with other party) and if any personal experience as recommendation would be really appreciated.

Thank you all!

Sorry there is a typo. *for each hearing. Not heavy hearing.

1500 is pretty reasonable for preparation and advocacy, especially in London.

Lonecatwithkitten · 24/02/2019 09:02

From my experience £1500 seems very reasonable.

TheItalianFreeFromer · 24/02/2019 09:42

Yes the price is reasonable. I just need new lawyers as don't want to use my previous ones. I am looking for recommendations please

To be honest you're going to find it almost impossible to get a new solicitor on board and pay £1,500 to include a heavy hearing. Good luck anyway.

JustAnotherLawyer · 24/02/2019 20:06

Why don't you want to use your previous lawyers? Seems, from the wording of your post, that you are actually looking for someone cheaper?

The fee you've quoted for representation and conduct seems very (very!) reasonable.

TheItalianFreeFromer · 24/02/2019 21:35

No, sorry for misunderstanding. I am Ok with that fee. I was just giving a good benchmark. I corrected myself in the comments - I didn't mean heavy hearing I meant each hearing.

My previous solicitor had a baby and is not working anymore. Plus she's not experienced with relocation cases.

If anyone has any to recommend please let me know. Don't worry about the cost. I just needs recommendations
Thanks!

I'm coming to this a bit late, but I do have experience of a very good barrister indeed that who works on direct access.

She's part of a set that specialises in family law and child law and they have a number of barristers that do direct access.

When I instructed her she was a junior but is now a QC so I don't know what her fees will be, but there are plenty of other really good direct access barristers there as well.

I'll send you a PM
