Hi,

I'm in the process of going through a divorce, husband left me.
We've agreed a deal on the house, worth £250k, 150k equity, so £100k still to pay on the mortgage.
The house has already been transferred into my name via the mortgage lender and he has had his lump sum, this has all be done through the solicitor.

My query is regarding mortgage payments in the D81 form, I see it asks for a) capital net of mortgage, i.e. Equity and there is another section for liabilities but it says specifically excluding mortgages deducted at a).

I assume therefore there is no section for me to put my outstanding mortgage amount??

Hope that makes sense and thanks in advance for any advice you can offer

You won’t put the amount of your mortgage in your part of the form because it will have been deducted from your share of the equity. If you’re worried about it the best thing to do is put “see attached” and include a more detailed breakdown.
