I have received a court date for the FHDRA for March. I asked initially that it was a no notice application based on the fact that I do not know where my child's father is, and he hasn't been in contact for 8 months (abusive, allegations etc etc etc), seems to have disappeared.

I was wondering if anyone could tell me if I can find out whether he will be attending, the court has informed me that he has been served the papers, I assume on the back of me informing them of his parents' address, and if anyone could tell me whether or not to instruct my solicitor to attend the hearing? The thought of him turning up makes me sick to my stomach, and I am willing to fork out for the solicitor in the circumstances.

Basically I am terrified (not of the court/judge as it were), but of having to be in the same room as him.

Thanks.
