FACT FINDING HEARING AGAINST EX- DOMESTIC ABUSE

So i have a fact finding hearing on Wednesday, to sy it was making me ill would be a massive understatement. Most of it is his word against mine and he has called to witnesses, one being his adult daughter who lived with us and and saw our relationship, bit her statement is full of lies saying im the abuser and he is the best dad in the world etc. My question is how much weight do they put on witness statements? I do have some proof with mine and he has none, will the proof weigh heavier with the judgement more than a false witness?

Anyone had a fact finding listed for a full day? If so what can i expect? What sort of questions did your ex ask you? Im so scared of answering his questions, not because im lying but because im scared of him and worried ill come across as a liar being so nervous.

I genuinely don't know. I didn't know that family members could be witnesses.

Don't be worried! The best way to handle is just tell the truth, keep answers short and to the point. Witness statements are subject to cross examination so can be challenged in court. Deep breaths and try and stay calm.
